Christopher S. Combs,
Managing Director
Chris Combs has over 20 years of business experience in alternative investments, capital raising, mergers and acquisitions and complex cross border transactions. Prior to Falconvest, Mr. Combs was Head of Product Development and Distribution at Gatehouse Bank in London. Prior to this, Mr. Combs was a Director for Arcapita in Bahrain where he engaged in corporate matters and worked with sovereign, institutional, family office and high net worth clients. Before joining Arcapita, Mr. Combs was a Vice President at KPMG Corporate Finance, the investment banking arm of KPMG in Chicago.
Mr. Combs holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in foreign affairs and history from the University of Virginia, and a Masters of Business Administration from the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan, where he graduated with distinction.
David C. W. Swan,
Managing Director
David Swan is an experienced real estate investor with over 20 years’ experience. Previous to Falconvest, he was Head of Real Estate Investment at Gatehouse Bank in London. Prior to this, he was the founder and owner of Bridgeport Real Estate, a pan European real estate consultancy. From 2008 until 2012, Mr. Swan was Managing Director of WW Advisors, a Kuwaiti owned advisory business that transacted on almost $300 million of joint venture transactions across Europe, and prior to this, Mr. Swan was a Director at Arcapita, where he was involved in transactions in excess of $2 billion. From 1997 until 2003, Mr. Swan was a Director at Tishman Speyer Properties, the New York based international property investor and developer.
Mr. Swan holds a BSc (Hons) in Land and Construction Management from The University of Portsmouth. He is a Member of The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, the Investment Property Forum and the Urban Land Institute.
Henry A. Thompson,
Managing Director
Henry Thompson is a seasoned investment professional who has help multiple senior positions at international investment firms. Prior to Falconvest, Mr. Thompson served as Chief Executive Officer of Gatehouse Bank in London. Prior to this, he spent 17 years as General Counsel at Arcapita, where he was one of the founding members of senior management and a member of the investment committee. Mr. Thompson also served on the board of directors for numerous Arcapita portfolio companies and was the General Manager of Arcapita's London office. Before joining Arcapita in 1997, Mr. Thompson was an attorney in the Washington, D.C., London and Riyadh offices of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher, an international law firm, where he specialized in complex international business transactions, both conventional and Shari’ah, mergers and acquisitions, and regulatory matters.
Mr. Thompson holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Foreign Service from Georgetown University, Washington, D.C. and graduated cum laude from Georgetown University Law Center, where he gained a Juris Doctor degree.
